DAY 01 ARRIVE MUMBAI Arrive Mumbai International Airport in the evening, meet our executive and transfer to hotel for overnight stay. DAY 02 MUMBAI CITY TOUR In the morning after breakfast go for a city sight seeing of the commercial capital of India including the Gateway of India, is situated at Apollo Bunder. It was designed by George Wikket. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911. Later an excursion on motorized boats across the Arabian Sea to the Elephanta Caves, which house several, sculptures and images sacred to the Hindu faith. Of special mention is the sculpture of the Holy Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva - the Creator, Preserver and the Destroyer. Later visit Hanging Gardens : The giant Old woman's shoe in the Kamala Nehru Park is very popular with children to play in. One gets a panoramic view of parts of the city from these parks situated at the height of Malabar Hill which provide lovely views over the Arabian Sea. DAY 03 MUMBAI - AURANGABAD (excursion to Ellora Caves ) In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Mumbai Domestic Terminal to board Jet Airways flight to Aurangabad ( Scheduled time of Dep from Mumbai at 0715 Hrs & scheduled time of Arrival at Aurangabad at 0800 Hrs ). Upon arrival at Aurangabad Airport, meet our executive and proceed for a visit to the most famous monument in Aurangabad is the Bibi ka Maqbara, the mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s queen. Inspired the Taj Mahal, it was built as the final resting place of Begum
Rabi’a Daurani. Close to the begum’s tomb is the unmarked grave of her devoted nurse. A poor replica of the Taj, it was designed and built by Ata Ullah whose name is engraved on its door. But some questions remain unanswered - was it built for the Emperor’s first wife or his second? After the above visit, check into the hotel. After fresh and change, proceed for en excursion to Ellora Caves. Ellora has been designated as a World Heritage Site, to be preserved as an artistic legacy that will continue to inspire and enrich the lives of generations to come. The cave temples and monasteries at Ellora, excavated out of the vertical face of an escarpment, are 26 kms. north of Aurangabad. Extending in a linear arrangement, the 34 caves contain Buddhist Chaityas, or halls of worship, and Viharas, or monasteries, Hindu and Jian temples. DAY 04 EXCURSION AJANTA CAVES - MUMBAI Take a relaxed breakfast in the morning at the hotel. Later proceed for an exclusion to Ajanta Caves. AJANTA is world's greatest historical monument recognised by UNESCO located just 40kms from Jalgaon city of Maharashtra, India. There are 30 caves in Ajanta of which 9, 10, 19, 26 and 29 are chaitya-grihas and the rest are monasteries. These caves were discovered in AD 1819 and were built up in the earlier 2nd century BC-AD. Most of the paintings in Ajanta are right from 2nd century BC-AD and some of them about the fifth century AD and continued for the next two centuries. All paintings shows heavy religious influence and centre around Buddha, Bodhisattvas, incidents from the life of Buddha and the Jatakas. The paintings are executed on a ground of mud-plaster in the tempera technique. After the above excursion, drive back to Aurangabad and transfer to Airport to board Jet Airways Flihgt to Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai airport, meet our executive and transfer to hotel for overnight stay. DAY 05 MUMBAI - COCHIN In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Airport to board flight for
departure to Cochin. On arrival, meet our executive and transfer to hotel. After fresh and change, proceed for city tour of Cochin which includes the visit of which includes the visit of Jewish Synagogue (of 1568) which is the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth. It is an interesting little place with hand painted willow pattern floor tiles brought from Canton in China in the mid 18th century. The synagogue is located in an area called Jew Town which also is one of the centers of the spice trade in the region. DAY 06 COCHIN - MUNNARIn the morning after breakfast, drive to Munnar, where sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make it a unique experience. Check in to your resort and get ready for the special trip to Pothamedu for an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. Then visit Mattupetty famous for its highly specialized dairy farm. Later proceed to Mattupetty lake and dam, which is a very beautiful picnic spot. You could enjoy boating in the lake and view mountains and landscapes from afar. Onwards proceed to Echo point famous for the natural echo phenomenon and then to Top Station offering marvelous views of Munnar valley below. Return to the resort and enjoy the facilities at your resort. DAY 07 MUNNAR - PERIYAR In the morning after breakfast, drive to Periyar nestled in spice and rubber plantations. Known to be Kerala's pride and testimony to nature's
splendor, Periyar has a lot to offer in terms of wildlife. Periyar is famous for its rare habitat of birds and animals and is one of the most popular destinations for nature lovers. Check in to your resort and get ready for your trip to cardamom hills where you could have a closer look at the spice plantations. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the places where the chances are pretty high that you will spot an elephant in the wild at close quarters and from the safe confines of a boat. Rest of the day at leisure. DAY 08 PERIYAR After breakfast, we enter the Periyar wild life sanctuary. Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady is one of the world's most fascinating nature wildlife reserves. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charms of the park. The greatest attractions of Periyar, however, are the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake. The day is free for you to explore the sanctuary and surrounding area to your heart's content. Overnight stay at Periyar. DAY 09 PERIYAR - ALLEPPEY Morning drive to Alappuzha. Upon arrival, check into the houseboat riding in the backwaters & small canals.A glide in a houseboat through the enchanting backwaters is sure to rob your heart. Palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expense of panoramic sight one can never forgetting less than 15 minutes, the low hum of the motor and the dazzling afternoon light have tuned out the noises in your head, the deadlines, the telephone, the unfinished chapters. Watch the white tire-tread clouds turn into wisps of animal fur and then disappear. The isolation on a luxury houseboat is total. Overnight stay in a houseboat. DAY 10 ALLEPPEY ( at the house boat ) The day night at the Bouse Boat. DAY 11 KUMARKAM - KOVALAM After breakfast dis-embark from the House Boat and drive to Kumarakom.Kumarakom is a sleepy little village tucked away from the
din and bustle of city life. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is an Ornithologist's paradise and a favorite haunt of migrating birds like Siberian stork,darter,heron and teal to name a few. Then drive to Kovalam through green coastal belt and cashew plantations. Despite the fact that virtually the entire 550 Km length of the Kerala coast is lined with sandy beaches, rocky promontories and coconut palms,Kovalam is one of the only place where swimming in the sea is not considered eccentric by locals. Check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Kovalam. DAY 12 KOVALAM Kovalam is just 16 kms away from Trivandrum.Thirty years ago, Kovalam was a hippy idyll: a picture perfect tropical beach; a traditional fishing village providing fresh fish, fruits and toddy (coconut beer).
Today Kovalam beach is known as the "Paradise of the South" and figures prominently on the world tourism map. "Kovalam" means a grove of coconut trees and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees.Overnight stay at Kovalam DAY 13 KOVALAM - KANYAKUMARI - KOVALAM After breakfast, go for a trip to Kanya Kumari. ( the southernmost tip of
peninsular India, is where the waters of the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea meet, A place from where one can see spectacular sunrises and also colourful sThere is a temple dedicated to the virgin goddess .Kanniya Kumari picturesquely located close to the sea shore. On a little rocky island just off the coast is the memorial to that great Indian philosopher - Swami Vivekananda. He is supposed to have sat here in deep meditation in 1892. After the sight seeing of Kanya Kumari, drive back to Kovalam for overnight stay. DAY 14 KOVALAM - TRIVENDRAM - MUMBAI- BACK HOME In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, transfer to Trivandram Airport to board flight for departure to Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai Domestic Airport, pickup by our car and transfer to International Airport for departure to your own destination. The above includes the following services :
